Yellowstone National park’s Northwest Corner is often overlooked as a back country experience because it is outside of the main figure eight road system know as the Grand Loop. Yet this amazing place has some of the most spectacular scenery and wildlife, Yellowstone has to offer.
This trip into the Northwest corner will be in pursuit of the beautiful Cutthroat trout which the National park Service has worked very hard to try to protect and restore. In these drainages Park Service biologists have created natural nurseries for these fantastic fish. Here we will pursue some catch and release fishing for these wily creatures.
We will run this trip two ways. 1.) we will stay in one camp for 3 nights and four days and fish the upper and lower stretches of Fan Creek or the upper Gallatin River or 2.) we will stay 2 nights on Fan Creek and two nights at Sportsman’s Lake. You can decide.
As always we will have great food, good campfire stories and wonderful horses to ride on Yellowstone’s beautiful trails.
