DAY Rides

We operate our Yellowstone day rides from July 1 through September 1.

Our horseback day rides capture the spirit of a pack trip in a shorter, hands-on adventure filled with riding, stories, and learning along the trail. Before we set out, you’ll receive a brief lesson at the trailhead covering mounting, guiding, stopping, and safe horsemanship both on the ground and in the saddle. By the end of your ride, you’ll leave with not only unforgettable memories, but real confidence working with horses.

Rides depart from a variety of trailheads in Yellowstone’s northwest corner, giving you the chance to explore new country year after year — far beyond what most visitors see from the road. Custom day rides are also available, allowing you to access nearly any area of the park reachable by horseback.

Rides are designed for guests ages 8 and up.

Half Day Ride

Our Yellowstone horseback day rides offer the experience of a pack trip in a shorter adventure filled with scenic riding, stories, and hands-on learning.

Before heading out, we provide a brief lesson at the trailhead, covering how to mount, guide, stop, and handle your horse safely both on the ground and in the saddle. You’ll leave not only with great memories, but with real confidence and practical horsemanship skills.
Full Day Ride

Our Yellowstone horseback day rides offer the spirit of a pack trip in a shorter, hands-on adventure filled with riding, stories, and learning along the way.

Before we set out, you’ll receive a brief lesson at the trailhead, covering how to mount, dismount, steer, stop, and back up, along with safe horsemanship skills both on the ground and in the saddle. By the end of your ride, you’ll leave with lasting memories — and real confidence working with horses.
Mammoth Area Full Day Ride

Our Yellowstone horseback day rides capture the feel of a pack trip in a shorter, hands-on experience filled with riding, stories, and learning along the trail.

Before we head out, you’ll receive a brief lesson at the trailhead, where we cover mounting, guiding, stopping, and basic horsemanship skills both on the ground and in the saddle. By the end of your ride, you’ll leave with not only great memories, but real confidence around horses.
Fishing Day Ride

For anglers wanting to venture beyond the road, we offer full-day (6-hour) fishing rides into some of Yellowstone’s most pristine waters. Ride horseback to premier spots like Fan Creek, the Upper Gallatin River, Slough Creek, the Gardner River, or select backcountry lakes within riding distance.

We provide your horse, pack in your fishing gear, and include lunch — so you can focus on the ride, the river, and the next cast.
