Hay & Sleigh Rides

Hay Rides

Fall colors, crisp air, and the smell of horses set the stage for a classic autumn hay ride. Join one of our horse-drawn hay rides through the fields, along the river, and back to the barn aboard our horse-drawn wagon, which seats up to 14 guests.

Sleigh Rides

Ride the historic bobsled through a winter wonderland as the sleigh glides beside the river and through the woods. Located just minutes from downtown Bozeman yet out in the country, our rides take you away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The bobsled holds ten passengers. If you have a larger group, we can accommodate you, but you’ll need to call because you cannot book more than ten passengers online.

Sleigh Rides

Daytime Half-Hour Sleigh Ride
Our daytime half-hour rides run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Beginning at the barn, the sleigh glides through open fields, along the East Gallatin River, and beneath the trees before returning home. The jingle of trace chains, the steady rhythm of the horses, and the crisp winter air bring you back to a simpler time, when this was everyday travel. Along the way, guests often spot local wildlife moving quietly through the snow.
Daytime One-Hour Sleigh Ride

Our daytime one-hour sleigh rides depart on the hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The journey winds through open fields, along the river, and into the woods to a quiet riverbend beneath the Bridger Mountains. There, we gather around the campfire to enjoy hot chocolate and a seasonal holiday story. After warming up by the fire, we climb back aboard and make our peaceful return to the barn.

Evening Sleigh Ride

Join us for a one-hour sunset or evening sleigh ride beneath the Montana sky. As our two draft horses pull the sleigh across the snow, Christmas lights glow softly, adding warmth to the winter night. We stop at our campfire nestled along a scenic bend of the East Gallatin River, tucked below the Bridger Mountains. There, you can sip hot chocolate, take in the stars, and visit by the gentle light of kerosene lanterns. Afterward, we climb back aboard and glide quietly through the snow-covered fields toward the barn. During the holiday season, a seasonal story by the fire completes this magical experience.

Valentine's Day Sleigh Ride

Share a quiet half-hour sleigh ride with someone special. Meet us at the barn and settle into our historic one-horse open sleigh, with room for the driver in front and one couple tucked cozily in back. Together, you’ll glide through open fields, along the river, and beneath the trees before returning to the barn.

For a longer, more leisurely experience — complete with a campfire stop, hot chocolate, and time for photos — choose our private one-hour ride.

Private Rides

Looking for a more personal experience? Reserve the entire sleigh for your group by selecting the private charter option when booking. This allows up to 10 guests to enjoy the ride together.

For couples, our historic one-horse open sleigh offers a timeless experience reminiscent of a Currier & Ives winter scene — quiet, intimate, and unforgettable.

Private ride pricing varies depending on the time of day selected.

Hay Rides

Daytime Half-Hour Hay Ride
Our half-hour hayrides run in the daytime from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They leave from the barn, travel down through the fields and beside the East Gallatin River.  We journey through the woods, back through the fields, and then return to the barn.  The fall colors this time of year are spectacular and there are often requent opportunites to view a variety of wild life.
Daytime One-Hour Hayride

Our daytime one-hour hayrides follow the scenic route through the fields and along the river, with a stop in the woods for a campfire gathering. Enjoy hot cider or cocoa — and on warmer days, perhaps even cold cider.

As we relax by the fire, we share a short seasonal story, from the origin of the Jack O’ Lantern in October to a Thanksgiving tale in November.

Story Time Hay Ride
Our one-hour Story Time Hayrides follow the scenic route with a cozy campfire stop in the woods. Enjoy hot cider or cocoa — and on warmer days, perhaps cold cider — as we share a seasonal story perfect for younger children. A different story is featured each week, including favorites like Pumpkin Soup and other autumn classics.
Evening Hayride

Come enjoy a one-hour evening horse-drawn hayride down to the riverside. Join us for candle and lantern light, hot cider, and a campfire.  We’ll tell the tale of Stingy Jack and the origin of the Jack O’ Lantern or, for our smaller children, a non-scary tale of fall will do nicely.
